This month, all students in K-5 will start practicing their basketball skills!  We will work on dribbling, passing, and shooting. In health, we will start our disease control and prevention unit this week.  Students in K-2 will focus on the spread of germs, symptoms we feel when we’re sick, and difference causes of disease.  Students in grades 3-5 will explore communicable diseases as well as review the various causes of disease. Happy Holidays!

November Update

Students have worked very hard this past month as they completed their Fall fitness challenges!  All students in grades 3-5 ran 1 mile and participated in the sit and reach, curl-up, and upper body tests!  I am really proud of their perseverance and effort!  We will revisit these same challenges with the hope of improvement in the Spring. Students in grades...

October Update

We just finished our cooperative challenges and bullying units.  Students did a great job showing teamwork, respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship. This month, we'll begin fitness in both PE and Health.  For students in grades 3-5, this means that we'll spend the month getting our baseline fitness scores in the mile, curl-ups, pull-ups/flexed arm hang, and sit and reach test.  The link below will take you to the curl up cadence if your child would like to practice his/her curl-ups to the rhythm of the music!  I hope to get the mile run in next week (weather-permitting) so make sure your child has a water bottle and dresses comfortably! Students in K-2 will also focus on fitness, but will also explore and refine their locomotor movements (running, walking, skipping, galloping, sliding, jumping, hopping, and leaping). Curl up cadence Have a great wee...
