This month, students in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in the “Jump Rope for Heart” community service project. This project helps raise money for the American Heart Association’s (AHA) fight against heart and blood vessel diseases. In addition to research, the AHA provides valuable information and resources to our community regarding cardiovascular health and the importance of leading a physically active lifestyle. During the week of February 9 th , students will be participating in a variety of jump rope activities in both physical education and health class. If students wish to volunteer to raise funds, they will need permission. Collection envelopes will be sent home during the week of January 19 th and family/friends can support participation by donating to the American Heart Association.
