Good afternoon,
As we near the start of October, I wanted to share what we'll be doing in both PE and Health.
We just finished our cooperative challenges and bullying units. Students did a great job showing teamwork, respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship.
This month, we'll begin fitness in both PE and Health. For students in grades 3-5, this means that we'll spend the month getting our baseline fitness scores in the mile, curl-ups, pull-ups/flexed arm hang, and sit and reach test. The link below will take you to the curl up cadence if your child would like to practice his/her curl-ups to the rhythm of the music! I hope to get the mile run in next week (weather-permitting) so make sure your child has a water bottle and dresses comfortably!
Students in K-2 will also focus on fitness, but will also explore and refine their locomotor movements (running, walking, skipping, galloping, sliding, jumping, hopping, and leaping).
Curl up cadence
Have a great weekend!
