March Update

This week, all students will begin their hockey and safety and injury prevention units.

In PE, students will practice their stick handling, passing, and shooting skills.  At the end of the March, students in grades 3-5 will have the chance to participate in a modified hockey game!

In Health, Kindergarten students will learn about fire safety, school safety and sign safety; First grade students will learn about bicycle safety, sign safety, and good touch vs. bad touch; Second graders will review safety signs and strangers; 3rd graders will work on telling the difference between safe vs. unsafe choices; 4th grade students will explore online safety, water safety, and street safety; 5thgrade will discuss basic first aid, scoliosis, and fire safety.

As a reminder, 5th graders will be screened for scoliosis on Thursday, 3/24, so please provide any documentation of recent physicals if your child has already been screened.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me!

Thank you,

Mrs. Doyle
