May Update

This month, students in K-2 will be starting their soccer units!  Students will work on dribbling, passing, and shooting!  In health, kindergarten students will talk about oral hygiene and growing, 1st grade students will review oral hygiene and will also talk about the senses, and grade 2 students will focus on bones and muscles.

Students in grades 3-5 will participate in our Spring Franklin Fitness Challenge to see how much they have improved from the Fall!  Students will participate in the mile, curl-ups, pull-ups/flexed arm hang, and sit and reach!  Students can use the video below to practice their curl-ups (sit-ups) to the specific cadence! In health, grade 3 students will learn about digestion and body organs and grades 4 and 5 will participate in puberty lessons.  (A note went home explaining these lessons and as a reminder, this note is NOT a permission slip.  I only need it back if you do not want your child to participate in any of the lessons.  The deadline to return the form is this Friday, May 1st.)

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you and Happy Spring!
