Happy New Year!

This month, all students in K-5 will begin their respective throwing and catching units in physical education and will begin mental health in health education.  Students in K-2 students will explore topics such as emotions, self-esteem, and the qualities of a good friend while students in grades 3-5 will learn about topics such as personal achievement, stress, and coping.

I’m also excited to announce that starting on January 22nd, students in grade 1 will be participating in a new unit that is partnered with Dean College.  A Dean College dance intern will be joining us for 6 weeks and students will have the opportunity to explore creative movement while also participating in team building activities.  I’m very excited about this new partnership and I look forward to sharing updates and pictures on my blog!
