Good Afternoon and Happy November!
Students are beginning their soccer units and are starting to learn the basics of nutrition in health. Ask your children if they can tell you what it means to keep their soccer ball 'in control'. Can your children tell you the names of the food groups in myplate?
In conjunction with the Ms. Money Community Service Project, students are also invited to bring in non-perishable food items that we will donate to the Franklin Food Pantry. There are two clear bins for donations- one is located by the gymnasium and the other is in the main lobby. Some students have already donated food- so thank you for that! The last day for donations will be Tuesday, November 20th. Thank you for your support!
Possible items to bring in include:
Canned soups
Canned fruits and veggies
Dried Fruit
Canned meat (tuna etc)
Cake Mixes
Rice
Cereal
Pasta
Oatmeal
